This is the invitation to the 12th NATO DAYS in Ostrava and the 3rd Czech Air Force Days festivals which are held at Ostrava Airport on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 September 2012.
Traditional Czech September festivals present a wide range of air and land defence equipment used by NATO member countries.
Aircraft from 19 NATO countries and display teams from Austria and Switzerland will fly over and close to the Leos Janacek Airport in Ostrava to amaze and please visitors. On ground, the presentation will be complemented by a number of static and dynamic displays of land forces and Czech Police force, etc.
Both festivals are very popular and the defence and security issues attract huge crowds of people. The turnout of 10 thousand in 2001 jumped to 225 thousand last year.
The NATO DAYS in Ostrava and accompanying events are organised by "Jagello 2000" non-governmental organisation supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, the Joint Forces of the Czech military, the Police of the Czech Republic, etc. The Czech military participate with the decisive quantity of presently used air and ground equipment.
