Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed a
7-year software as a service (SaaS) contract with the city of
Boulder City, Nev., for Tyler's Munis®enterprise resource
planning (ERP) solution. Boulder City selected Tyler's
Munis ERP SaaS solution to replace various software programs
that the city found to be outdated, cumbersome, manually
driven and costly.
"I have used Munis in three of my previous
jurisdictions and I fully understand Munis' capabilities;
it's easy to use, the reporting capabilities are almost
endless, data can be easily retrieved, and it is fully
integrated which will allow us to be substantially more
productive," said Boulder City's Finance Director
Shirley Hughes. "We selected the SaaS delivery model
because it requires minimal technical resources on the
city's side, and it provides valuable disaster recovery
services. Munis will benefit multiple departments citywide
because of its streamlined processes and integrated
functionality."
Boulder City, located in Clark County approximately 20
miles from Las Vegas, decided to invest in a wide range of
Munis applications, including financial management, human
capital management, content management and self service for
vendors, citizens and employees. Munis will be hosted and
administered at Tyler's data centers in Yarmouth, Maine,
and Dallas, Texas. The agreement includes hosting services,
related professional services and support.
"Our ERP software solutions empower our clients
with proven strategies, innovative applications and ongoing
support that maximizes their return on investment," said
Richard E. Peterson Jr., president of Tyler's ERP &
School Division. "Additionally, our SaaS model is a
cost-effective way to meet operational needs while securing
important information with full disaster recovery
services."
