PORT OF LOS ANGELES TO HOST
INTERNATIONAL TRADE SEMINAR IN SPANISH ON SEPT. 27

First Spanish-Language Workshop in Port's Trade Connect Program Series

WILMINGTON, Calif. - In an effort to expand the diverse audience of its highly successful Trade Connect Program, the Port of Los Angeles will host an export  trade seminar conducted in the Spanish language on Thursday, September 27, from 1:30-5 p.m., at Los Angeles Harbor College's Music Recital Hall, located at 1111 Figueroa Place, in Wilmington.

After Congresswoman Janice Hahn delivers opening remarks, representatives from the Port of Los Angeles and other agencies, including the U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Small Business Association (Export Assistance Center), Los Angeles Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association, Los Angeles World Airports, and Harbor Business Source Center, will be on hand to discuss a variety of trade topics, including:

· How to introduce products to the international market
· How to arrange the logistics/transportation of products
· How to finance and insure shipments
· How to work with freight forwarders and customs brokers

Trade Connect is an export education program created by the Port of Los Angeles and designed for small and medium-sized businesses to learn the fundamentals of shipping internationally and identifying overseas markets.
