The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) will hold a public workshop in Clearwater to address possible rule amendments reducing vessel speed limits within the Florida Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) in Pinellas County.
The amendments to rule 68D-24.010, Florida Administrative Code, would expand vessel speed restrictions surrounding the Memorial Causeway Bridge and Honeymoon Island Causeway Bridge due to changes in bridge and maritime infrastructure. Other proposed changes include updates to maps and other minor technical changes to language.
The workshop is Thursday, Sept. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Clearwater Community Sailing Center, 1001 Gulf Blvd. on Sand Key, Clearwater.
