PRESS RELEASE Stockholm, August 6, 2012
Tilgin full-featured TR-069 Auto Configuration Server and VOCAL Technologies, Ltd. latest TR-069 client
stack complete successful interoperability testing
Tilgin and VOCAL continue their respective efforts to provide
cutting-edge solutions for triple-play deployments. The
latest is the new TR-069 client from VOCAL which has been
fully tested for interoperability with Tilgin ACS.
With this new success, Tilgin increases its Connected Home
ecosystem with a consequent number of new device vendors and
device models using VOCAL Technologies solutions already in
place today across the world. All these devices can now
benefit from next-generation remote management solutions.
Such solutions will allow providers to deliver a rich service
portfolio to their subscribers from day-one, in a controlled
way, and with high levels of customer satisfaction.
Tilgin's ACS is a comprehensive remote management platform
for the management of CPE compliant with Broadband Forum's
TR-069 standard. Tilgin ACS addresses the full life-cycle of
Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) devices in a multi-vendor
context: from initial activation to service upgrade, from
proactive maintenance procedures to subscriber care.
Delivering managed services based on remotely-managed CPE is
an essential part of all successful service providers'
business strategy. This approach keeps the operational cost
low for their offerings while at the same time increasing the
base of new revenues in a timely manner. The other essential
key to success is to maintain customer satisfaction high and
reduce churn. With its Intelligent Mass Management concepts
and Alarms and Monitoring features, Tilgin ACS delivers on
all accounts.
The VOCAL TR-069 Client stack provides overall CPE management
for the device on which it is installed. The Tilgin ACS and
VOCAL Client, via the TR-069 standard, smoothly coordinate
services delivery and updates in a manner completely
transparent to the customer. At power up, periodically, or
whenever requested by the ACS, the Client automatically
discovers and establishes a secure network connection to the
Tilgin ACS. The Client then reconfigures device settings and
controls, enables/disables vendor services, and updates
software as provided by the ACS.
