McLEAN, VA - Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI) today named Lori Altman vice president of national advertising sales for USA WEEKEND. Altman has served as director of east coast advertising sales for USA WEEKEND since 2004. She will report to Mary Murcko, Gannett's president of national sales, and will be based in New York. In her new role, Altman will be responsible for driving advertising revenue for USA WEEKEND, a national weekly magazine with 22.6 million circulation and 50 million readers in print and online.

"Lori has an impressive track record of leveraging the power of USA WEEKEND's 50 million readers to grow revenue and improve customer satisfaction and results."

Prior to joining USA WEEKEND, Altman served as a senior account executive at Working Mother magazine (2002-2004); travel advertising director at Travel + Leisure (1995-2002); travel advertising manager at Modern Bride (1992-1995); and served in other sales positions for Holiday Inn Worldwide and Business Traveler International.

In 2009, Altman was honored by the Advertising Women of New York (AWNY) as a Working Mother of the Year. Altman received her B.A. from American University.
