LOS ANGELES - Metrolink, in partnership with the Ventura County Transportation Commission and Seaside Park, will operate special train service to the 2012 Ventura County Fair.

Three Metrolink round-trips from Chatsworth with stops at Simi Valley, Moorpark, Camarillo, and Oxnard to the Seaside Park Fairgrounds will be only offered Saturday, August 4 and 11.

Advanced tickets for the Ventura County Fair trains are available for purchase at the Camarillo, Moorpark and Simi Valley city halls.  Same day special train tickets will be sold at the stations starting 45 minutes prior to the train arrival by special ticket attendants. Metrolink customer engagement representatives will be at the stations to assist passengers as they board the trains.

Round-trip tickets on the trains range from $10 to $14, depending on the distance travelled. Metrolink monthly pass holders and children under five years old can ride the special train service to the Ventura County Fair for free.  No other Metrolink tickets will be accepted ($10 weekend pass, 7-day pass, one-way or round-trip tickets).
