Hohhot Petrochemical's 5 Mt/a expansion/upgrading project ready for trial operation

On July 30, CNPC Hohhot Petrochemical Company's 5 Mt/a expansion and upgrading project, which consists of 11 production units, supporting facilities, and storage and transportation system, is basically completed and ready for trial operation.
Hohhot Petrochemical's 5 Mt/a expansion/upgrading project started up in August 2010. Boasting 10 refining units including a 5 Mt/a atmospheric distillation unit and a 2.8 Mt/a catalytic cracking unit, as well as a 150 Kt/a polypropylene unit, the project will be capable of providing 1.7 million tons of gasoline, 2.1 million tons of diesel, 200,000 tons of aviation kerosene, and 150,000 tons of polypropylene every year to Inner Mongolia and Shanxi province once being operational.
