Birmingham Airport has launched a brand new travel trade team - the 'Airport Gurus'.

The team of three local lasses is headed up by Mandy Haque, the Travel Trade Relations Manager, and her two Travel Trade Executives, Stefanie Bowes and Tracey Quirk, who will be on the road providing specialist advice to travel bookers and corporate partners.

The Airport Gurus were recently unveiled at a special event in Birmingham, to an audience of eighty travel industry guests. Introducing the new team, Mandy said, "It's incredibly important to build relationships with those who sell flights and holidays. We have the specialist knowledge about Birmingham Airport's facilities and services, as well as extensive industry experience that will equip those selling travel options with the right choices.

"We want travel agents, tour operators, business travel bookers and airline sales teams to feel that we are an extension of their business and welcome questions about anything, at any time. We also ask for feedback from our partners about the facilities and services that our passengers want and need, so we encourage open and honest dialogue to ensure that we can be the number one choice for all."

The Gurus will send out a 'Weekly Wisdom' email newsletter to its trade partners, and a dedicated facebook page is live at www.facebook.com/airportgurusfor partners to ask questions or post comments. A new website is planned to launch in the coming weeks, at www.airportgurus.co.ukand the team can also be reached by email at airportgurus@birminghamairport.co.uk.

Mandy, Tracey and Stefanie will be visiting at least 70 agents every week across the region and will attend key trade events to promote the Airport across the world.

All three Gurus have worked in the travel industry their entire careers, with experience in travel agencies, airlines and airports.

The Airport Gurus motto is 'Enlightenment for the Travel Trade', and is associated with exotic destinations, spa treatments and relaxation.
