Label Printing Industries of America (LPIA), a special interest group of Printing Industries of America, is pleased to announce that Jeff Alexander, Flint Group is the 2012 inductee to the LPIA Hall of Fame. Alexander will be inducted during the LPIA Innovation Conference, November 7-9, 2012, at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort in Coronado, California (San Diego).

Alexander has been with the Flint Group of companies since 1985 and in many different roles and locations. Flint Group is a $3 billion privately held company with more than 170 operating facilities, headquartered in Luxembourg and owned by CVC Capital Partners. Flint Group is a vertically integrated business focused in printing inks, plates, and other graphic-arts-oriented materials. Notably, Flint Group is the second largest printing ink manufacturer in North America and globally.

"I am truly honored to be selected to be the 2012 inductee into the LPIA Hall of Fame," says Alexander. "I have seen such awesome industry professionals inducted over my last 15 years with the organization that I was both surprised and flattered to be nominated. It has been my pleasure serving on the board for the last 12 years. Yes, as hard as I try to give back to this organization that has been so helpful to my company and to me, I expect Flint Group and I will be avid LPIA supporters and members for many years to come. I am proud to work with an organization that benefits so many member companies, individuals, and other industries."

Alexander graduated Cum Laude from Alfred University in 1982 with a Dual Bachelors in Marketing and Management. Coursework at The Rochester Institute of Technology had piqued his interest in the graphic arts. So, after three years of various buying positions, he accepted a technical sales position with printing ink manufacturer, Sinclair & Valentine.

Through the various buyouts and ownership changes, Alexander has just marked 27 years with Flint Group, holding various sales and management positions around North America.

After four career relocations, Alexander currently resides in his original home town of Rochester, New York, with his wife Carrie and two teenaged daughters. He has been very involved with his daughters and youth sports, both coaching and serving on the boards of several youth clubs. When not active with his family, community work, church, or his career, Alexander plays all the sports that his body still allows him to!

The LPIA Hall of Fame is conferred to that converting executive who has reached an unsurpassed level of excellence and achievement in the industry. Sponsored by LPIA, this award is dedicated to the spirit of those industry pioneers who hard work and determination created a vibrant, growing, and changing industry.
