announced that the Family & Community Health Sciences
Department of Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County
is offering a new summertime program," Just for Kids ~ Healthy
Cooking Camp", July 30 - August 3, daily from 10 a.m. to
12:30 p.m. for children who have completed grades 4 through 6.
This program is presented by Marilou Rochford, MA, CFLE,
Family & Community Health Sciences Educator. It will be
held at the Rutgers Cooperative Extension Building located at
355 Courthouse-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House.
The camp will focus on healthy and nutritious eating. It
is a pilot project that will incorporate nutrition education
with hands-on food preparation lessons to encourage a lifetime
of healthy eating habits. The participating children will
be eating their healthy creations during the camp day. We
are looking forward to an exciting week of healthy cooking.
The cost is $125. Registration, payment and completed
permission forms are requested by July 12, 2012 to reserve a
