(Beverly Hills, Calif.) July 12, 2012- Relativity
Media announced today the promotion of Kenneth L. Halsband
to President of Physical and Post Production where he will
continue to oversee the budgeting, physical production,
post production, and delivery for all of Relativity's
films.
During his tenure at Relativity, Halsband has
overseen physical production on such titles as the
Oscar®-winning film The Fighter, Relativity's
box office hits Immortals, Limitless, Dear John
and upcoming releases 21 and Over, Out of the Furnace
and Safe Haven.
"Ken has been extremely instrumental to our productions
over the past several years. He is not only passionate
about all of our films but his hard work ethic and focus on
physical production and post-production has made him an
outstanding executive on our team," said Tucker Tooley,
President, Relativity Media.
Halsband has been involved in Relativity's active
creation of new opportunities in states and countries that
have a developing film industry and a potential for film
rebate and tax incentives. As part of that effort Ken was
an integral part of the Relativity team that was behind the
implementation of the recent increased film incentive
program in the Province of Quebec.
Halsband joined Relativity Media as Executive Vice
President, Physical and Post Production in August 2007 with
20 years of film production experience. Before joining
Relativity, Halsband founded Finish Line Post in
2006, an independent technology lab and digital
post-production company. Halsband began his career in the
entertainment industry working at Saturday Night
Live with the film unit. He worked in locations
for Woody Allen's Deconstructing Harry, Mighty
Aphrodite, and Celebrity, among others,
before moving on to producing.
