Company receives two International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) from the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA)
CINCINNATI - July 03, 2012 - Ethicon Endo-Surgery (EES)
today announced the receipt of two International Design
Excellence Awards (IDEA) from the Industrial Designers
Society of America (IDSA): A Silver IDEA and a Bronze IDEA.
Two EES products were also named as finalists in this
year's awards program.
"From front-end innovation to product launch, our design
team works collaboratively with Research & Development,
Engineering, Marketing, and other experts throughout our
organization to create innovative products and deliver
intuitive solutions," said Steve Eichmann, Director of
Industrial Design and Human Factors for Ethicon
Endo-Surgery. "Being recognized by IDSA is a meaningful way
for us to celebrate that we are advancing usability,
design, customer experience and product appearance."
The IDSA recognized these Ethicon Endo-Surgery innovations:
Winners and finalists will be featured in the IDEA 2012
online gallery, in the fall edition of IDSA's
Innovation yearbook, as well as through various
design media outlets. Winning designs will be added to the
permanent collection at The Henry Ford museum to share and
preserve the story of American innovation.
