STATE OF EMERGENCY
remains in effect on July 2, 2012.
Curfew has been rescinded as of 4:30 pm this evening for all
municipalities.
Residents and businesses should continue to report damages to
their local Office of Emergency Management. To report power
outages please call Atlantic City Electric at
1-800-833-7476.
Residents are reminded to stay hydrated during this period of
excessive heat and to take necessary precautions. View our

Food safety is another concern for those without power.
Today's identifed cooling stations will be closing this
evening with the exception of three locations which will
remain open 24 hours a day until further notice: Dorothy Fire
Hall, Margate Terrace at 610 N. Fredricksburg Avenue, and
Northfield City Hall where residents can seek relief from the
heat in air conditioned facilities and receive water.
Residents with transportation may visit the Hamilton Mall in
Mays Landing to receive one 40-lb. bag of ice and one case of
water (24 bottles) per car. Emergency officials have
scheduled to extend this distribution on Tuesday, July 3 from
8 AM to 8 PM provided supplies are available.
The Galloway Township shelter at Reeds Road School is now
closed.
All Atlantic County Library System branches are open during
normal business hours except for those without power or air
conditioning which include Mays Landing, Egg Harbor Township
and Ventnor.
