Economics of genomic medicine
July 17 and 18

This Institute of Medicine workshop invites economists, regulators, payers, and providers of health care to analyze scenarios in which genomic information can be used to make clinical decisions and to identify factors that influence costs and ways to integrate genomics. NASA's strategic direction

Potential of telemedicine

Explores the potential impact of climate change on glaciers that feed streams and regional waterways in the Himalayas.
HEALTH and SAFETY
An Analysis of the Requirements and Alternatives for Foreign Animal and Zoonotic Disease Research and Diagnostic Laboratory Capabilities

Examines the needs and alternatives for a foreign animal and zoonotic disease research laboratory in the U.S. -- including the National Bio- and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF) in Kansas as currently designed, a scaled-back version of NBAF, and maintenance of current capabilities at PlumIslandAnimalDiseaseCenter in New York -- while leveraging the laboratory capacity of foreign laboratories.
Confronting Care Complexity: Continuous Learning for Better Care at Lower Cost
