NATICK, MA -- March 20, 2000 -- SystemSoft Corporation has announced a revitalized corporate strategy following its recent emergence from Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Now recapitalized through an acquisition by enterprise software developer Rocket Software, Inc. of Natick, Mass., SystemSoft plans to ramp up product releases, marketing activity, OEM relationships, eCommerce capabilities, and related product development staffing.
Customers of SystemSoft's flagship products will continue to see new releases in 2000. Media and VAR campaigns on hold since the advent of the now completed reorganization - are also planned for this year, as are products for the burgeoning wireless market.
"SystemSoft is again a company with a bright future," said Stephen Burke, SystemSoft CFO. "The excellent team we already have in place is now unshackled, and we're looking forward to adding to that team aggressively."
SystemSoft, one of the shining stars of the New England high tech community in the 1990s, lost its footing in the market and subsequently spun off several of its core products to other companies. The company is now profitable, and its current portfolio includes the popular CardWizard, which provides plug-and-play capabilities to mobile Windows NT users, and the diagnostic and repair utility SystemWizard. SystemWizard is due to be positioned as a Web-based service this month.
"This is a company that has unmatched working knowledge of PCs and mobile users," said Business Unit Manager Sherri Way. "We are building on SystemSoft's considerable strengths, and will be offering new and exciting technologies in 2000."
SystemSoft will mark its reemergence at the FOSE government IT convention April 18-20 in Washington, DC. with trial copies of its current products being given away at its pedestal in the Microsoft pavilion area.
