Former IP5280 Founder and 25-Year Telecommunications Industry Veteran to Help Spur Additional Growth of Company's Data, Voice, Security, and Hosted IT Services

PLEASANTON, Calif. - June 22, 2012 - MegaPath Corporation, one of the leading providers of managed data, voice, and security services in North America, today announced the appointment of Jeffrey Pearl as Senior Vice President of Sales. In this role, Pearl will oversee the strategic direction and day-to-day management of MegaPath's direct, indirect, and field sales operations.

Pearl came to MegaPath through the January 2012 acquisition of IP5280, a cloud-based IP communications provider specializing in VoIP and converged IP voice, video, and data services for business customers. He was the co-founder of IP5280 and helped position the company as one of the larger Internet Telephony Service Providers (ITSP) of hosted high-definition VoIP to small and medium businesses nationwide.

Pearl has more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, including CEO and EVP Sales and Marketing with publicly traded company ICG Communications, along with senior roles at Qwest Communications, Frontier Communications and Worldcom. In 2005, Pearl co-founded his first business, LineSider Communications, which specialized in secure VoIP communications and was sold to Cisco in 2010.
