Harmonious China • The Third Promotion Conference of Classical Culture Across the Taiwan Strait, was inaugurated simultaneously on May 27th in Jinan, Taizhong, Xiamen, Hong Kong and Macao. It was initiated by Jinan Municipal People's Government, Taizhong Municipal Government, Taiwan Affairs Office of Shandong Provincial People's Government, the Cross-straits Relations Magazine of Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council PRC, China Confucius Foundation CCF and Taiwan Chinese Huaxia Cultural Communication Association. Tens of thousands of young people on both shores of the Taiwan Strait recited some chapters of "The Analects of Confucius" and "The Commonwealth of Great Unity". Wang Xinwen, Deputy Mayor of Jinan Municipal People's Government and Cui Dayong, Vice Chairman of Jinan Municipal Committee of the Political Consultative Conference attended the opening ceremony in Jinan.
