10 and Under Tennis Play Day - June 23 at Sandra Freedman Tennis Complex
June 14, 2012 - The City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department is offering USTA 10 and Under Tennis Play Day on Saturday, June 23 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Sandra Tennis Tennis Complex, located at 59 Columbia Drive.
10 and Under Tennis uses kid-sized courts and kid-sized equipment. Tennis racquets are sized for small hands and courts are smaller and easier to cover. Additionally the balls bounce lower, don't move as fast through the air and are easier to hit. By using this format, the benefits are immediate and within a short time kids are rallying, playing, and excited to keep playing. That means kids will have more fun with less frustration. They're playing real tennis and having real fun.
The cost for the 10 and Under Tennis Play Day is $20 and includes refreshments and prizes. To participate, register your child by June 21 by emailing otemplejr@yahoo.com with your child's name, age and parent's contact information.
