GI Dynamics to Present at the Jefferies 2012 Global Healthcare Conference
Lexington, Massachusetts, United States and Sydney, Australia - June 1, 2012 - GI Dynamics, Inc. (ASX: GID), a company pioneering the development of effective non-surgical approaches for treating type 2 diabetes and obesity, announced today that it has been invited to present at the Jefferies 2012 Global Healthcare Conference on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at 4:30 p.m. ET (Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at 6:30 a.m. Australian ET) at the Grand Hyatt in New York City.
Stuart A. Randle, president and chief executive officer of GI Dynamics, will present an overview of the company and its lead product, EndoBarrier® Therapy, a novel approach for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and/or obesity. EndoBarrier has received CE Mark approval in Europe and TGA approval in Australia for implant periods of up to 12 months for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and/or obesity. EndoBarrier is currently commercially available in select European markets, Chile and Australia.
