Andover, MA - May 29, 2012

Enterasys Networks, a Siemens Enterprise Communications Company, announced today it has received two awards this month from the Boston Business Journal for being one of Massachusetts's "Best Places to Work" and honoring Dan Petlon as a "2012 CIO of the Year." Boston Business Journal will be hosting events recognizing these achievements on June 1 and June 12 respectively.

Enterasys was selected as one of Massachusetts's "Best Places to Work" as the result of employee-satisfaction surveys taken throughout March and April and was one of over 400 companies to qualify for consideration for the award. The honor recognizes Enterasys' achievements in creating a positive work environment that attracts and retains employees through a combination of employee satisfaction, working conditions and company culture.

"Our Best Places to Work event will again recognize the importance of cultivating a great workplace culture as a competitive advantage," said Chris McIntosh, publisher of the Boston Business Journal. "Companies on our list can be justifiably proud of creating a high level of workplace satisfaction during an economy where traditional rewards like big raises and bonuses aren't as easy to give. In good times and in bad, our results validate how the creation of the right corporate culture can create powerful business advantages. Employees are proud to work for companies that are about more than just business."

On the heels of this award, Boston Business Journal and its sister publication Mass High Tech also named Enterasys CIO Dan Petlon as a "2012 CIO of the Year." Recipients of this award were chosen by a team of editors from the two publications. Winners were selected for exemplifying how innovation in the use of information technology and in IT strategy can bring success to an organization in driving profits or providing improved services to customers, end users or the public.

Petlon is credited with introducing Enterasys to technologies that have improved the company's IT systems, procedures and performance. Petlon's leadership in implementing Enterasys' Cloud-First IT Strategy - where the company is aggressively adopting cloud apps - has taken Enterasys' IT functionality into the future and positioned the company for increased growth.

"These back-to-back awards from the Boston Business Journal signify the great momentum Enterasys is experiencing as we focus on fostering a company that creates innovative solutions and empowers employees to have a direct impact on revenue," said Chris Crowell, president and CEO at Enterasys Networks. "We are the fastest growing company in our market, with 10 quarters of growth on a year over year basis. We have also expanded our employee base a great deal over the past year, adding over 50 new positions. By establishing an environment where employees are able to get things done quickly and where results are recognized and rewarded has been essential to Enterasys' success."
