Hong Kong, 3 February 2012 - Tim Isaac will retire as Chairman, Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific at the end of May 2012, while Paul Heath moves up to take over the helm in his current role as Chief Executive Officer. Isaac's retirement has been planned for some time and was one of the reasons behind the senior management restructure at the end of 2011.
"Taking over from Miles Young three years ago and working with Paul to maintain the fantastic momentum of Ogilvy in Asia Pacific has been the proudest and most satisfying period of my career in advertising to date," said Tim. "Paul is the future and a very bright future it is too. This must be about the smoothest and best planned successions in advertising history. I am looking forward to focusing on the bates brand and continuing to work closely with Paul as he takes over Ogilvy within our 'one company: two brands' model."
Tim Isaac was one of the pioneers of the industry in this region when he arrived 25 years ago and recently received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Campaign Asia Pacific.
"Effortless on the surface, mad detail behind it all. It's been a pleasure working with Tim and a valuable learning experience. One couldn't ask for more from a boss," said Paul Heath, Chief Executive Officer, Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific.
Isaac will continue in his role as Chairman of bates.
