The Adelaide 36ers are excited to confirm the signing of former Perth small forward Stephen Weigh.
After playing his first three seasons in his NBL career at arch rivals Perth Wildcats, the 67 championship winner has agreed to terms with the club for the next two years.
The 24 year-old originally from Mount Isa, Queensland has been described as wise, mature and a very fine character.
Stephen is currently in Europe and is looking forward to linking up with his former AIS mentor and Adelaide head coach, Marty Clarke. Stephen spent two years with Marty Clarke at the AIS before heading off to the University of Utah.
Coach Clarke believes Stephen is a very important component in the long term success of the 36ers,
"Stevie will thrive on the extra responsibility and will have the opportunity to develop into one of the competition's premier players" Clarke noted.
With a reputation as one of the hardest workers in the league, Weigh comes off a very solid season with 11 ppg and 5 rpg and brings great versatility to the Adelaide 36ers.
