At close of business on February 28, 2013, the Company's issued ordinary share capital comprised 557,275,797 ordinary shares of 5 penceeach with voting rights and a further 5,296,070 ordinary shares held in treasury.

Therefore the total number of voting rights in the Company is 557,275,797. This is the figure which should be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
