Soccram, a subsidiary of Cofely Réseaux, has proposed and constructed a new 5.5 MW biomass heating plant in the Mesnils Pasteur de Dole district (Jura). This new unit will supplement an existing initial wood-burning boiler.
Wood energy now provides 55% of the City's heating output, allowing it to avoid the combustion of 2,800 oil-equivalent tonnes, and the emission of 8,600 tonnes of CO2 per year. At the same time, works on extending the heating network to the town center have enabled the connection of many municipal buildings, allowing energy to be supplied to 1,150 additional housing-equivalent units.
