National Research awards Rising Stars Scholarship to successful marketing students and recognizes accomplishments at celebratory dinner.
December 2012 (Lincoln, NE) - National Research is pleased to announce Elaine Ji and Emma Vavricka as recipients of the 2013 Rising Stars Scholarship. In partnership with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL), the scholarship celebrates, rewards, and encourages students with an interest in business development, marketing, and entrepreneurship. Each recipient received $2,000 to be applied toward their tuition and fees during the spring 2013 semester. Last year was the first time the scholarship was given.
Ji and Vavricka were recognized and awarded the scholarship at a dinner hosted by National Research on Thursday, Nov. 29. Susan Henricks, Chief Operating Officer, and Kevin Karas, Chief Financial Officer of National Research attended the event along with the recipient's guests. Ji and Vavricka's names will be displayed on the Rising Stars Scholarship plaque located in the College of Business Administration (CBA).
Ji is a senior Marketing major. Currently, she is the President of the CBA Student Ambassador Program and works closely with Dr. Donde Plowman, Dean of the college. Ji hopes to develop a career in marketing research and graphic design.
Vavricka is a junior Marketing major. She is currently a Sales intern at SandHills Publishing in Lincoln, a trade publications company specializing in construction, trucking, aircraft, agriculture, and computer industries. She enjoys meeting new people and looks to define her career path through personal experiences. Vavricka would like to develop a career in sales in the medical field.
