NEWYORK, Sept. 26, 2012 -Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico, S.A.B. de C.V., (Santander Mexico) a leadingfinancial services holding company in Mexico, opened for trading today on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the ticker symbol "BSMX" after an initial public offering of its American depositary shares (each ADS includes 5 SANMEX shares). GETCO Securities is the Designated Market Maker (DMM) for Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico's stock.
Grupo Financiero Santander México´s Chief Executive Officer Marcos Martínez, joined by members of Spain and Mexico Santander's management team, celebrated the company's first day of trading by visiting the NYSE trading floor for the stock opening and ringing The Opening BellSM.
