Prague Public Transit Company invites all the inhabitants of the capital city to visit four of its premises, namely Zličín Metro Depot, Řepy Bus Garages, Motol Metro Station, which is currently under construction, and Motol Tram Depot. Prague Public Transit Company's Open Day is held on Saturday 22nd September from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Besides tours of the premises, visitors can also look forward to expositions of individual types of metro trains, trams and buses, which they know from the standard operation but also the elements that help to repair and maintain tracks and roads for their smooth operation. The exposition of present-time trams, including the most modern ones will be supplemented with historical trams. Visitors will also have the opportunity to see the garages, which are used for daily repairs of the vehicles.
There will also be an infocentre stall, demonstrations of firefighting equipment, and a presentation of controlling and information systems. The Secondary School of Transport will make a presentation along with several other companies. Visitors can also look forward to accompanying events and competitions for both children and adults.
All the premises will be interlinked with a special bus no. 770, which will operate in approximately 5 minute intervals. When travelling by the underground, the bus 770 connection will be ensured at Zličín metro station. When travelling by tram, passengers will be able to change for the bus at Vozovna Motol, Bílá Hora and Slánská.
