Global Geophysical Services, Inc. Announces Two New Executive Appointments

HOUSTON, Dec. 19, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Global Geophysical Services, Inc. (NYSE:GGS) (also referred to as "Global" or the "Company") today announced the appointment of Ross Peebles to the position of Senior Vice President, E&P Services and Lawrence (Larry) Scott to the position of Vice President, Global Microseismic Services (GMS).
Ross Peebles and his team will work collaboratively with Global's clients to facilitate the application of GGS' data, technology, workflows, and experience directly to their exploration and production objectives. He will be responsible for all aspects of seismic and microseismic processing and interpretation relating to exploration and production services. Mr. Peebles joined Global in 2011 and was responsible for the development of our Unconventional Consulting business unit. He recently served as the Vice President of Interpretation prior to his current role as Senior Vice President, E&P Services. He has over 20 years of experience in geosciences and professional services related to hydrocarbon exploration and production.

Larry Scott's main responsibilities will be directly related with the future development of the GMS business segment, specifically in the area of those high potential technologies associated with Microseismic and Tomographic Fracture ImagingTM (TFI). Mr. Scott has over 30 years of diversified experience in all facets of the application of geophysical technology, including field operations, data processing, research and development, and applied technology.
