Eaton's Hervé Tardy Recognized Among Top IT Channel Sales Leaders by CRN Magazine

RALEIGH, N.C.…Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced Hervé Tardy, vice president, general manager, Distributed Power Quality Business Unit for Eaton, has been honored by CRN magazine as one of the Top 25 Channel Sales Leaders of 2012. The recognition is part of the information technology (IT) channel publication's annual list of Top 100 Executives.

In the feature, which recognizes executives who have had the greatest impact on sales volume through channel partners for their companies in the last year, Tardy ranked 15th for building Eaton's channel following and driving expansion into new markets including cloud computing and virtualization.

The list resulted from nominations submitted by solution providers and ranked executives based on channel influence, effectiveness and visibility, along with business and sales impact. A panel of editors from UBM Channel, the premier provider of IT channel-focused events, media, research, consulting, and sales and marketing services, made the final selections.

Among the criteria were channel sales volume, channel investment and resources, channel advocacy and visibility, and performance in UBM Channel research projects (including the Annual Report Card and Channel Champions).

"It is an honor to be nominated by solution providers and to be recognized by CRN's editorial staff," said Tardy. "Virtualization is a game changer for the power management industry and Eaton is a technology leader in this area. We have put forth tremendous effort intended to develop tools that will not only increase the bottom line for our loyal resellers but also provide business value for their customers."

Tardy is leading the charge at Eaton to integrate the company's Intelligent Power Software Suite™ with virtualized environments. Eaton's software solution leads the way in the industry through integration with VMware's vCenter Server™ and vSphere® 5.1, Citrix® XenCenter®,  and Microsoft®'s SCVMM, Microsoft Server 12®and Hyper-V® version 3; thus offering innovative value added resellers (VARs) a strong selling point when accompanying clients on their journey to the cloud.

Drawing on its global strength in power management to help customers control costs and reduce their energy requirements, Eaton is accelerating the introduction of new products and technologies. This commitment to the future allows resellers in Eaton's PowerAdvantage® Partner Program to deliver efficient and effective uptime to their customers while working to create new revenue and margin opportunities for their businesses.
