LHC Group recognizes Kiesha Monroe as 2012 Spirit Award winner
LAFAYETTE, La. - Citing her bedside compassion, overall professionalism and reputation for successfully leading other nurses and staff in times of crisis, LHC Group has named Kiesha Monroe the recipient of its 2012 Spirit Award.
Monroe, a registered nurse at Ochsner Extended Care Hospital of Kenner, was honored at a recent awards ceremony. Lafayette-based LHC Group, a national provider of post-acute care services, recognizes quarterly and annual Spirit Award winners at each of its long-term acute care hospitals and in the company's pharmacy. Long-term acute care hospitals provide specialized care to medically complex patients.
Monroe was selected as the overall winner among 10 LHC Group annual winners.
Spirit Award winners are those employees who demonstrate dedication to their work, provide outstanding patient care and motivate and inspire their peers and co-workers. Award winners are nominated by their co-workers and selected by a committee.
In addition to Monroe's recognition as the overall winner, each of the 2012 facility winners was also recognized. Those winners are:
