Regarding the request, dated 4 January 2013, by the Capital Market Commission for confirmation or refutation of reports in the financial press regarding submission of offers to the Hellenic Financial Stability Fund for TT Hellenic Postbank, NBG announces that, pursuant to Law 3601/2007, any processes relating thereto (and accordingly participation in such processes) are confidential and that the provision or publication of any information about them is expressly forbidden.
In other respects, and taking into consideration the priority NBG attaches to its ongoing tender offer to the shareholders of Eurobank Ergasias, NBG has not ceased to be interested-under certain conditions-in Postbank.
