Assured Home Health earns
Joint Commission accreditation
MOSES LAKE, Wash. - Assured Home Health has earned accreditation from The Joint Commission, recognizing the agency's commitment to quality and safety in home health care.
To receive accreditation, Assured Home Health underwent a rigorous, unannounced on-site survey. A team of Joint Commission surveyors evaluated the agency for compliance with standards of care specific to the needs of patients, including infection prevention and control, leadership and medication management.
Assured Home Health is part of LHC Group Inc., a national provider of post-acute care services. LHC Group is the only national home health provider pursuing 100 percent Joint Commission accreditation, and more than 95 percent of the company's agencies have achieved accreditation.
Established in 1988, The Joint Commission's Home Care Accreditation Program addresses a home health care organization's performance in specific areas and specifies requirements to ensure patient care and services are provided in a safe manner.
"In achieving Joint Commission accreditation, Assured Home Health has demonstrated its commitment to the highest level of care for its patients," said Margherita Labson, RN, executive director for home care accreditation with The Joint Commission. "Accreditation is a voluntary process, and I commend Assured Home Health for successfully undertaking this challenge to elevate its standard of care and instill confidence in the community it serves."
