Orange has decided to make four of its call centres (Cachan, Lyon, Marseille and Toulouse) available to the Armenia Fund of France's 650 volunteers.
Between 9am and 9pm each day, the fund's volunteers are planning to contact over 55,000 families and companies in France with the hope of exceeding the donations pledged in 2011 (€1.3 million) in France and Europe (Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Greece).
The Armenia Fund of France also sent out a message to more than 55,000 donors from this year's patrons, footballer Youri Djorkaeff and TV executive and journalist Daniel Bilalian, using the "Contact Everyone" service. Donors can also make their donations by calling a special number set up for the occasion:
Mireille Le Van, Secretary-General of the Orange Foundation underlines that: "Going beyond what Orange can bring on a technical level, our call centre personnel are also taking part. This is a further illustration of skills-based support provided by the Group. We are also delighted to renew our partnership with the Armenia Fund of France. Our initiatives in Armenia are developing each year, especially with the Orange Armenia Foundation which is now in its second year of existence".
Francis Gelibter, Managing Director of Orange Armenia said: "For 3 years already, Orange Armenia has been a partner of the Pan-Armenian Fund and, for the third consecutive year, we have set up a special number - 7733 - which our customers can use to make donations of up to 500 AMD via text messages. Villages are at the centre of the Orange Armenia Foundation concerns and it is with the utmost pleasure that we are able to put our technology at the service of projects which aim to improve everyday life in the villages of Armenia".
