Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. is proud to announce the smartphone release of the first social media content in the Tokimeki Memorial dating simulation series, "Tokimeki Restaurant ☆☆☆" (below, "Tokimeki Restaurant"), this Winter. Users who pre-register (starting Friday, December 14th) will be rewarded with special bonuses on release. A campaign will also be implemented in which pre-registered users can vote to influence certain details in the final content.
Recent years have seen a large rise in the number of dating simulation game users, with a particular boom in female users*1. "Tokimeki Restaurant" has been created as the ideal social dating sim content for those female users, through a combination of Konami's long-cultivated console-based dating sim production experience and the social media content knowhow that has attracted over 2.6 million users*2.
"Tokimeki Restaurant" is a social app that lets the user enjoy both heart-stopping romance and managing their own restaurant, becoming the owner main character who gets a fateful visit from some male pop idols. The content is the work of LOVEPLUS PRODUCTION, the Konami studio that handles the Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side series and has a strong track record of such major titles as "LOVEPLUS" and "Tongari boushi."
The pop idol romantic interests are split into two groups of three guys each, for a total of six characters. They are represented using the very latest in imaging technology, preserving the series' hand-drawn look while providing a refined and almost three-dimensional feel that brings every scene to life. Users can also have their say in how the content will turn out by pre-registering and voting in the "Tokimeki Restaurant ☆☆☆ Pre-debut Center Stage Battle" campaign. The campaign will decide which member of each of the idol groups takes the central position when the content is released, with votes being accepted through a total of four girls' game media including the "Tokimeki Restaurant" official homepage.
Konami will continue to create and provide high quality content to bring the fun and excitement of Konami products to its ever-growing customer base.
