Plzeň, October 18, 2012 - Plzeňský Prazdroj has scored second place in the 10th annual survey contest "Employer of the Year." The company is continuing its success from this September when it was announced as the best employer of the Plzeň region. The survey evaluates in detail not only the employers' treatment of their employees, remuneration, scale of benefits, and continuous education within the firm, but it also pays attention to a wider context of financial indicators. A company's approach to sustainable development is definitely one of the important criteria.

"This year, we are celebrating 170th anniversary of Plzeňský Prazdroj, and our success has always been based on the professionalism and talent of our employees. Therefore, we are extremely pleased to be recognised with this prestigious award. The competition in the market is very strong, and the breadth of the criteria surveyed was really complex," said Ivan Balogh, Director of Human Resources.

The best employers if the Czech Republic were announced on October 10, 2012, in Prague's Pyramida Hotel. The survey "Employer of the Year" took place for the 10th time this year. The survey is organised by The Employers Club civic association.

"As a good employer, we are trying to raise the bar of the care of employees higher and higher so the Plzeňský Prazdroj Company becomes an even more attractive place to be employed. For example, recently we've focused on awarding equal opportunities and support to gender-diverse work teams, and creating a better working environment to support better balance between the personal and professional lives of our employees.
