Recently, Shenyang Paraffin Chemical Co Ltd received a precious gift - "2012 China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association Scientific and Technological Progress Award," another unusual honor after its Shenyang Municipal Science and Technology Progress Award.
CPP equipment applies the heavy oil catalytic pyrolysis to olefin technology, of which China owns the intellectual property rights. It is the first set of industrialized equipment and a national demonstration project listed in the ethylene industry long-term development plan. In the industrialization process, Shenyang Chemical made many significant upgrades for the new CPP technology to promote device stability, realize fully-loaded operations for a long period, boost ethylene and propylene yields, and accomplish the strategic goal of using a small amount of crude oil for maximum output of ethylene and propylene. Since the equipment was put into operations three years ago, it has run steadily and earned remarkable economic benefits for the company.
