UNION GAS LONDON EMPLOYEES HELP FEED LOCAL FAMILIES IN NEED
Raise funds and deliver food baskets for Crouch Neighbourhood Resource Centre
Dec. 21, 2012
London, ON - Six London-based Union Gas employees will be lending a helping hand to area families during the holiday season by delivering food baskets for Crouch Neighbourhood Resource Centre (CNRC). Employees also donated $500 to CNRC, raised through summer ice cream sales, to purchase much-needed food items for the baskets.
Ian Ross, Union Gas district manager for London/Sarnia presented the cheque today to Jacquie Carr, CNRC community support program co-coordinator, at the organization's offices on Hamilton Road in London. Ross was joined by a number of volunteers from the Union Gas office in London, who will deliver the baskets to families in need.
"At Union Gas we are committed to being active members in the communities we serve and to working with our community partners to change the living conditions for individuals and families for the better," said Ross. "That's why we're so pleased that our employees support the Crouch Neighbourhood Resource Centre and the work they do to improve the quality of life for citizens in the London community."
The Crouch Neighbourhood Resource Centre is a neighbourhood organization which brings diverse people together to plan, develop, and provide services that support, build community capacity, and nurture the well-being of residents in the Hamilton Road Community.
