SOUTH WINDSOR, CONN., December 13, 2012 - William (Bill) H. W. Crawford, IV, President and Chief Executive Officer of Rockville Bank and Rockville Financial, Inc. (RCKB), today announced that Mary Chase of West Hartford, Conn., will manage Rockville Bank's new full-service "Banking Center" that is scheduled to open in late January in West Hartford Center. Chase is a long-time West Hartford resident and respected businessperson who holds the title of Vice President, Branch Officer at Rockville Bank.

The Company's Banking Center will be located at 102 LaSalle Road in West Hartford. It will occupy the same building as the U.S. Post Office, which will continue to operate there.

Rockville Bank is making this location a true Banking Center that will include a first-class banking team: mortgage professionals, financial advisors, commercial bankers, tellers and private banking professionals. It will be a one-stop banking experience for customers who bank with Rockville Bank.

The Banking Center will also have its own public entrance, free parking spaces designated for Rockville Bank customers only, a convenient drive-up teller window and an ATM.

Chase brings extensive local banking experience to Rockville Bank, especially in the West Hartford area. She was a Branch Manager and Cluster Manager for Sovereign Bank in its West Hartford and Simsbury branches. She also worked for BankBoston in Bloomfield and Shawmut Bank in West Hartford. Chase's career in banking started with the former Society for Savings in Hartford.

In anticipation of the Banking Center opening after the New Year, Chase has been busy recruiting a team that already has strong relationships in the West Hartford community. She is also preparing her team to do in West Hartford what Rockville Bank is doing in its 21 other branches: providing superior customer service to all customers.

"Mary's banking experience spans three decades in Connecticut, most of those years were dedicated to serving customers from West Hartford and its surrounding communities. She is no stranger to the families and businesses who are proud to call that area their home," said Crawford. "She has a proven record of growing deposits, managing multi-million deposit bases, building strong customer relationships and recruiting teams of banking professionals. She's not only a perfect fit for the Rockville Bank culture but she is the right person to lead our new 'Banking Center' in West Hartford."

"It's an exciting time to work for Rockville Bank and I'm thrilled to be an integral part of its expansion into West Hartford. I look forward to introducing Rockville's superior products and services to my community," said Chase.

In addition to Chase's professional banking reputation, she has been active in various community organizations over the past several years. She is a member of the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce and previously served as Treasurer of the West Hartford Center Business Association. She is also a Board member of Hartford First Night and a past member of the West Hartford Rotary Club.

This will be Rockville Bank's second office located west of the Connecticut River. The Bank opened a New Haven County Commercial Banking Office in Hamden in 2011.
