BLACK HILLS ENERGY ANNOUNCES STEVE SWEET AS SENIOR LEAD TECHNICIAN IN DECORAH AREA

Decorah, IA - December 20, 2012 - Black Hills Energy is pleased to announce that Steve Sweet has been promoted to Senior Lead Technician serving Decorah, IA, and 20 surrounding communities. In this position, Sweet's responsibilities will include direct supervision and support of field technicians and employees in the Decorah Unit and assisting with delivery of safe, reliable natural gas service to customers in those Iowa communities.

Sweet has 23 years of experience with Black Hills Energy as meter reader, service technician, and most recently an operations technician
"Steve has a wide range of natural gas utility experience. He has also served as a Black Hills Energy Ambassador, was a 2011 Chairman's Award recipient, is a team player and is dedicated to community involvement. This makes him an ideal Senior Lead Technician for Black Hills Energy," said Sandy Koenig, Operations Supervisor. "Steve has served on two fire departments and is currently Assistant Chief for the Decorah Fire Department. He has coached youth sports teams and gets involved with many volunteer opportunities for Black Hills Energy."
