Dallas, Texas December 10, 2012

PMC Commercial Trust (the "Company" or "our"), a real estate investment trust, announced today that its Board of Trust Managers (the "Board") has declared a fourth quarter 2012 quarterly cash dividend of $0.12 per common share payable on January 7, 2013 to shareholders of record on December 31, 2012. The dividend is our 76th consecutive quarterly dividend.

Jan F. Salit, Chairman of the Board stated, "As anticipated, the quarterly dividend was reduced to

$0.12 per common share so that it is better aligned with our core operations."

PMC Commercial Trust primarily originates loans to small businesses primarily secured by real estate.
