NEW YORK, December 7, 2012 -- Travelzoo Inc. (NASDAQ: TZOO), a global Internet media company, is celebrating early this holiday season after winning the 2012 EPPY Award for best travel website, and being named among the top 20 in Crain's Best Places to Work in New York City.
Now in their 17th year, the EPPY Awards are presented by Editor & Publisher. They honor the best international media-affiliated websites across 31 diverse categories, including best news website and best travel website. This year, Travelzoo beat out all industry competitors to win the "Best Travel Website" category, for websites with more than 1 million monthly users.
Similarly, Travelzoo, which is headquartered in Manhattan and has 25 offices worldwide, was the only Internet travel and lifestyle brand listed in Crain's Best Places to Work in New York City, ranking 19 overall. Crain's New York Business, in partnership with Best Companies Group, selected the
2012 winners based on employee survey data and industry benchmarking.
