Emmett Nursing Center Earns Prestigious National Customer Satisfaction Award

Cherry Ridge Care and Rehabilitation Center received the 2011 Excellence in Action award for customer satisfaction from My InnerView a division of National Research Corp.-a national third party applied-research company, serving providers of senior care. Cherry Ridge was one of 361 nursing centers nationwide to earn the customer satisfaction award and among more than 5,000 centers to participate in the 2011 survey distributed by My InnerView on an annual basis. This honor recognizes skilled nursing homes that achieve the highest levels of satisfaction as demonstrated by overall customer (resident and family) satisfaction scores. Recipients of this award must have also achieved a minimum 30 percent response rate and scored in the top 10 percent of qualifying nursing facilities on the question "What is your recommendation of this facility to others" in terms of the percentage of respondents rating the facility as "excellent."
"The most important takeaway regarding the Excellence in Action awards is that the skilled nursing award recipients were first recognized by their own residents and employees through excellent satisfaction survey scores," Susan L. Henricks, president and COO of National Research Corporation said. "This also underscores the importance for long term care providers to understand the value of measuring quality over time. This is not only true because of increasing regulatory scrutiny that may impact reimbursement rates in the future, plus the favorable perceptions that hospitals will look for in post-acute partnerships but the differences that skilled nursing homes are making in the lives of their residents and employees every day. We salute our clients for taking the initiative to measure quality."
Cherry Ridge at Emmett Care and Rehabilitation Center provides short-term physical rehabilitation therapy and skilled nursing services for up to 40 patients and residents. It has served the community of Emmett for 42 years, since first opening its doors in 1970.
