Vivoice, Vivendi's webradio for the Safer Internet Day
Published on Jan 29
Vivendi is organizing a webradio cast on February 5 to mark Safer Internet Day, the European day of action to promote a more responsible and safer Internet for young people.
From 9 am to 12.30 pm, some thirty guests (including politicians, professionals, scientists, experts, as well as secondary school students) will take to the Vivoice microphone. The discussions will be hosted by French journalist Jean Zeid and blogger Fadhila Brahimi, and will consider the issues of online reputation and sharing information.
Vivoice may be followed live by connecting to www.vivendi.com/vivoice, and the event will also be relayed live on Vivendi's Twitter feed: @Vivendi_news (#Vivoice). Internet users will be invited to take an active part in the discussions, directly through the Vivoice website or Twitter. The various contributions made during the day will also be available subsequently in the form of podcasts.
Since 2003, Vivendi has set specific societal responsibility targets for its businesses, including protecting and empowering youth. This strategic issue is one of the variable remuneration criteria of the Group's executives. Vivendi is involved in a number of specific initiatives to raise awareness among young Internet users and their parents, as well as empower young audiences in their use of the media.
